Another one the series of Airbrushing techniques this time the colouring was inspired by a Maple Tree just outside our house in its autumnal colours.  Using Yellow/Green, then Orange and Red Molotow Aqua Inks and then sealed, and lacquered to finish.

Sycamore Bowl

In my endeavour to improve my Airbrushing techniques i created this Sycamore Bowl, again inspired by Nick Agar`s Viking Sunset Bowl.  This the paints used were Molotow Aqua Inks which are child friendly paints.  Textured with the Robert Sorby Micro texturing tool.

Airbrushed Sycamore Bowl

The start of a new series of work, this one inspired by Nick Agar`s Viking Sunset Bowl.  Made from Sycamore, textured with the Sorby Spiralling system, coloured with Black, Yellow and Red Spirit stains which are airbrushed onto the timber, then silver gilt cream added to give it the metallic look.

Terra Sigillata Form/Bowl

Following on from the Pedestal Bowl i was inspired by a Terra Sigillata Form for the Roman period of AD40-AD80, this piece is textured again with the Sorby Spiralling and Texturing Tool, then Sprayed with Chestnut Spirit Stain Black, then Gold Gilt Cream added to highlight the Texturing.  The piece is made from London Plane.
