Another one of my many platters, this one is made from Burr Oak, this piece was extremely hard to turn due to the nature of the wood, however it did create a magnificent platter, buffed an polished on the lathe to finish. Measures 290mm x 28mm
This is made from a piece of Sycamore, which has been pyrographed with a dragon pattern, which was inspired by a drawing by Lora Irish.
This is a Beech Platter, which measures 280mm x 25mm. This piece was placed onto a website called World of Woodturners, were it achieved the cover photo award, which is a huge compliment to my work
Another Beech Platter, made from the same board of Timber, however there is a significant difference in the grain pattern.
This item is made from a leftover piece of Burr/Pippy Oak, found during a clean out of the workshop. Finished with Lemon Oil to keep the natural look of the Timber.
